Born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Michaela Visovatti received her initial dance training at Dance Alliance in Saline, Michigan from Adam and Lisa Clark. She also trained at Randazzo Dance in Ypsilanti, Michigan, where she worked with Heidi Vitso, Laura McCarthy and Nancy Giles. Michaela has been fortunate to be able to participate in summer intensives at the Virginia School of the Arts, the Cincinnati Ballet and with L.A. Dance Magic. Michaela completed study at the University of Michigan, where she concurrently received a BFA in Dance and a BA in Mathematics. While at Michigan, she performed in works by Bill DeYoung, Sandra Torijano, Amy Chavasse, and Jessica Fogel, as well as a Merce Cunningham MinEvent staged by Jean Freebury. In addition to her performance, Michaela has a myriad of technical experiences, including working as Stage Manager for the Spring 2012 concert by Ann Arbor Dance Works, the University of Michigan’s resident professional dance company. Michaela lives with her husband, Jacob, and their son, Elias, in Ann Arbor and are parishioners at Old St. Patrick.
