Mr. Tom Oram

Schola Accompanist

In addition to accompanying St. Augustine’s Schola, Tom Oram is the full-time Worship Leader for Our Lady of Good Counsel parish in Plymouth, where he oversees a thriving parish music program.  He came to OLGC from a parish in Naples, Florida in 2016, with his wife Martha and their children, of whom there are now five, and the oldest two attend St. A's.

Born in Grosse Point Park and raised in Valparaiso, Indiana, Tom earned his bachelor's degree majoring in Music, Humanities, and Ancient Studies (with a Theatre minor) at Ohio Wesleyan University, followed by a MA in Musicology from the University of Michigan.  He would later spend three years at the Theological College of Catholic University of America as a seminarian for the Diocese of Gary (Indiana), completing the coursework for an MA in theology.  He loves music, liturgy, and Scripture, of course, but in particular sharing those with this wife and children: Susannah, David, Mary Rose, Beatrice, and Jonathan.
